Baseball Recap: Donahue Catholic Has No Trouble Against Naples Classical

Donahue Catholic won the last time they faced Naples Classical and things went their way on Friday too. Donahue Catholic put the hurt on Naples Classical with a sharp 23-6 victory. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Donahue Catholic got a massive performance out of Isaac Loboda, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Donahue Catholic is 3-1 when Loboda posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Kadlec, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

Donahue Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .824. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Donahue Catholic now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Naples Classical, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Donahue Catholic will face off against Immokalee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Naples Classical, they will square off against Mason Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mason Classical Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.43 runs per game on average), something Naples Classical will no doubt try to take advantage of.
