Even though The Findlay Trojans scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, the Olentangy Liberty Patriots still came out on top. Olentangy Liberty won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Findlay 36-35. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but Olentangy Liberty was the better team in the second half.
Olentangy Liberty was led to victory by Andrew Leonard and Jake Struck. Leonard threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns, while Struck gained 258 total yards and three touchdowns. Struck's longest reception was for an incredible 93 yards.
The victory makes it two in a row for Olentangy Liberty and bumps their season record up to 4-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Findlay, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Olentangy Liberty will face off against Dublin Coffman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Findlay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
