Lyndon Institute had to suffer through a rough 82-43 loss at the hands of Montpelier. Lyndon Institute has struggled against Montpelier recently, as their match on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Carson Cody, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds for Montpelier. Cody hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kleo Bridge, who scored 14 points along with six assists.
Lyndon Institute's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Montpelier, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.
Lyndon Institute will look to defend their home court on Friday against Spaulding at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Vermont (Spaulding is ranked 47th, while Lyndon Institute is ranked 45th). As for Montpelier, they will head out on the road to face off against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Montpelier's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 matches.
