Uniontown and the Jayhawks are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Uniontown Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks on Monday. Uniontown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully the Jayhawks like a good challenge.
Uniontown pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Heights.
Meanwhile, Jayhawk Linn came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 40-27 win over St. Paul on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Bryton Spencer, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ryan Broyles was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Uniontown now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Jayhawk Linn, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-10.
Uniontown couldn't quite finish off the Jayhawks in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 39-36. Can Uniontown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
