The Calvary Chapel Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Valencia Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Calvary Chapel is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Laguna Hills with a sharp 20-6 win on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Michelle Sisunik made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bella Bos was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Calvary Chapel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Valencia came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Knights.
Isabella Goulet looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Valencia got a massive performance out of Cadence Ledbetter, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Sophia Avina was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Calvary Chapel's record now sits at 5-12. As for Valencia, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Calvary Chapel suffered a grim 21-7 defeat to Valencia in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
