Columbus hasn't had much luck against Lincoln Southeast recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Discoverers will square off against the Knights at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Columbus and Lincoln High meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Discoverers put the hurt on the Links with a sharp 12-1 victory. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Discoverers this season.
Karsten Killham looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Columbus is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8 otherwise.
