The Mooreland Bearcats were the  40-32 winner over the Turpin Cardinals when they last played one another  back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mooreland fell  49-40 to Turpin on Thursday. Mooreland's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the  team, making it three in a row.
 Turpin was led to victory by  Bryson Parker and  Jhett Huffman.  Parker  scored 17 points, while  Huffman  scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Huffman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carson Peters, who  scored eight points.
 Mooreland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Turpin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mooreland will  square off against Mangum on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Oklahoma (Mangum is ranked 249th, while Mooreland is ranked 242nd). As for Turpin, they will head out on the road to face off against Canute on Friday.
