The Cushing Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skiatook Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cushing has three straight wins, Skiatook has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cushing can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Oologah 45-21. Given Cushing's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Oologah is ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cushing had a senior duo take command as john hilligoss rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown and Brady Matheson gained 121 total yards and three touchdowns. Hilligoss hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-6, which was the final score in Skiatook's tilt against McLain Science & Tech on Friday.
Cushing's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Skiatook, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
