Fenwick has gone a perfect 8-0 against Leo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Friars will face off against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. The last three games Fenwick has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Fenwick had taken Marmion down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Friars fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 10-9. That's two games in a row now that the Friars have lost by just one run.
Fenwick got a good showing from Will Tomczak, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tomczak has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Leo fell victim to Aurora Central Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Chargers. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Leo's record is now 6-13. As for Fenwick, they now have a losing record of 10-11-1.
Leo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fenwick hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. It's a different story for Leo, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Fenwick's hitters?
Fenwick took their win against Leo when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2 score. Will the Friars repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
