Penns Manor had lost 12 games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-14 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the Ferndale Yellow Jackets 6-5. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.
Tyler Cooper made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor James, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Jarvie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Penns Manor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
As for Ferndale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.75 runs.
Like Penns Manor, Ferndale also got a great game from a two-way player: Danny Fesko. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Fesko also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ferndale is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-11 otherwise. Fesko was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Connor Hrivnak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI.
As of now, neither Penns Manor nor Ferndale have any future games scheduled.
