Munford put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Craigmont Chiefs with a sharp 17-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellie Kate Billings was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Gabby Asbill also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Munford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .958. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Munford pushed their record up to 15-11-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Craigmont, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Munford beat the Chiefs by a score of 15-0 later that day.
