The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calexico Mission in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Calexico Mission lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Leonardo Longino, who scored ten points. That was a full 50% of Calexico Mission's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Warner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Omar Acosta led the charge by scoring ten points along with seven rebounds. Isiah Whitsey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Calexico Mission's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Warner, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-11.
Calexico Mission will head out on the road to take on the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warner, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
