If The Greenville Hornets were feeling good off their 34-6 takedown of the Yazoo City Indians last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Greenville took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gentry. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Greenville couldn't push the score so high this time.
When it comes to explaining why Greenville lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Hodges. Despite the final result, he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Greenville has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Gentry, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Greenville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gentry will head out on the road to face off against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. West Point will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
