Spring has been on a difficult stretch since their win on February 7. They fell just short of the Dekaney Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Wildcats are ranked 174th).

Spring's goal came courtesy of Esteban Gutierrez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dekaney, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
