The Brady Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wauneta-Palisade. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylie Shirk, who threw for 268 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn McBride, who picked up 130 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Brady's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. As for Wauneta-Palisade, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
Brady does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wauneta-Palisade is also done with their season.
