In what's become a running theme this season, the Cotopaxi Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Swallows Charter Academy at home to the tune of 52-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cotopaxi has posted yet this season.
Cotopaxi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abby Fieth, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Fieth is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Eden Merrill, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cotopaxi's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Cotopaxi will square off against Custer County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peyton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Peyton will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
