The Christian Academy were the 62-60 winner over the Tri-State Christian Crusaders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Christian Academy took a 59-45 bruising from Tri-State Christian on Saturday. While losing is never fun, The Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 420th in Pennsylvania, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 63rd in Maryland).
Tri-State Christian was led to victory by Jeremiah Falko and Sam Falko. Falko scored 16 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds, while Falko scored 24 points. Falko hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brandon Swort, who scored eight points.
The Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Tri-State Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
The Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-State Christian, Tri-State Christian and Avon Grove Charter will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Avon Grove Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
