The Willow Spring Storm scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Cleveland for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-51 win on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Willow Spring as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Willow Spring's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavion Terrell, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Terrell has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Overman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Cleveland still got an impressive performance from James Harris, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Cam Walters was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Willow Spring's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Cleveland, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willow Spring will challenge Corinth Holders at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleveland, they will head out on the road to take on Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garner will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Cleveland surely won't give up without a fight.
