If Pullman were riding high off their 43-14 takedown of Clarkston last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Pullman have to be aching after a bruising 27-54 defeat to West Valley on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Pullman a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Pullman's record to 5-2. The win was the 5th in a row for West Valley, as they raised their record to 6-1.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Pullman will look to defend their home turf next week against Othello at 7:00 AM. As for West Valley, they will face off against Cheney. West Valley will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
