Volleyball Recap: Northside's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After a string of six wins, Northside's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Starr's Mill Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Starr's Mill was led to victory by Sophia Olson and Naomi Allen. Olson had ten digs and three assists, while Allen had five digs. That's the most digs Allen has posted since back in August. Kate Ryan also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Starr's Mill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season.

Northside will challenge Beauregard at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Starr's Mill, they will face off against Fayette County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
