The Carter Green Hornets will square off against the Fulton Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carter will be strutting in after a win while Fulton will be coming in after a defeat.
Carter was handed a 30-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They skirted past Heritage 28-25.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Sparks, who threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns. Sparks' passing game has become a key predictor of the Green Hornets' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Isaac Cookston was Sparks' top target, picking up 107 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carter's defense and their three sacks. Jake Coffey was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Austin Ogle was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 63-0 loss at the hands of Alcoa. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Tornadoes are ranked seventh).
Carter pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Carter has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 380.3 total yards per game. It's a different story for Fulton, though, as they've been averaging only 169.3 total yards. Will Carter be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Falcons flip the script?
Carter couldn't quite get it done against Fulton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 42-35. Thankfully for the Green Hornets, Albert Johnson (who rushed for 308 yards and three scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
