Sammamish has gone a perfect 8-0 against Renton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The RedHawks will head out to challenge the Red Hawks at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sammamish has four straight victories, Renton has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Sammamish proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bellevue, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the RedHawks have posted since April 7th.
Theo Molnar looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kolin Jaster was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Perez, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Renton came up short against Tyee on Tuesday and fell 4-1.
Renton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Thor, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Sammamish pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Renton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Renton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sammamish hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Renton, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Sammamish's hitters?
Sammamish took their victory against Renton in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
