Archbishop Stepinac had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Thomas Jefferson Campus Orange Wave on Sunday, sneaking past 69-67. The victory was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won six games in a row.

Archbishop Stepinac's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danny Carbuccia led the charge by shooting 54% from the field on his way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hassan Koureissi, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Archbishop Stepinac smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Archbishop Stepinac's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson Campus, with the loss, they broke their 22-game winning streak and moved their record to 31-2.
