The Leeds Greenwave won the last time they faced the St. Clair County Fighting Saints, and things went their way on Friday too. Leeds came out on top against St. Clair County by a score of 61-52 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
It was another big night for Tabari Davis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Leeds' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Burge, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Leeds now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Clair County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leeds will challenge Etowah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Etowah presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leeds in Alabama (Etowah is ranked 62nd, while Leeds is ranked 201st). As for St. Clair County, they will head out on the road to face off against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
