The Tri Titans will face off against the Northeastern Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Northeastern will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Tri extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. The Titans' pitcher stepped up to hand Wapahani a 10-0 shutout. Ten seems to be a good number for the Titans as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Nobody will forget Ashton Richey's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Wapahani's batters): she turned in a perfect game. Richey has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rylan Mathews and Lyla Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Mathews went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Williams went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Faith McCrobie was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Tri kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Northeastern earned a 12-8 win over Delta on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Hailey Elsrod tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched.
At the plate, Alexis Russell was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Peed, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Tri pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average this season. As for Northeastern, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tri has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
