The Williamsburg Christian Academy Eagles were the 71-69 winner over the Rise Academy Guardians when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Williamsburg Christian Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-53 walloping at the hands of the Guardians on Tuesday. Williamsburg Christian Academy was down 57-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Williamsburg Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Marlowe, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Legend Bunch, who scored 15 points.
Williamsburg Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Rise Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.
Williamsburg Christian Academy will be playing at home against the Minutemen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denbigh Baptist Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rise Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
