The Huntingdon Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Penn Cambria on the road and fell 80-50. Huntingdon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.
Penn Cambria was led to victory by Easton Semelsberger and Gavin Harrold. Semelsberger scored 16 points along with three steals, while Harrold scored 14 points along with six assists. Semelsberger hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Carter McDermott, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Huntingdon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Penn Cambria, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntingdon will square off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Juniata Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Penn Cambria, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Marauders at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Bishop Guilfoyle is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
