Even though the Lake Norman Christian Storm scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls still came out on top. Valor Preparatory Academy took their match against Lake Norman Christian 70-62. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valor Preparatory Academy.
Leading Valor Preparatory Academy to victory were Bishop Witherspoon and Johnathan Lee. Witherspoon scored 18 points, while Lee scored 20 points. Witherspoon is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Kerr, who scored nine points.
Valor Preparatory Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Lake Norman Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Valor Preparatory Academy will play host again and welcome Sugar Creek, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sugar Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 330 points over their last five games. Lake Norman Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Victory Christian Center at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th.
