Zach Huizar posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Azusa is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 0-4 otherwise.

Huizar's effort led Azusa over Garey and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Azusa has been struggling at home and they will enter the match having lost four straight home games dating back to last season.
