After a string of three wins, the Deerfield Beach Bucks's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost to Palm Beach Lakes on the road by a decisive 47-32 margin. If Deerfield Beach hoped to take revenge for the 50-47 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Leading Palm Beach Lakes to victory were Laniya Hall and Ezria Pierre-louis. Hall scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Pierre-louis dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hall scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zuri Miller-Whiteside, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Deerfield Beach's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Deerfield Beach will head out on the road to face off against Boyd Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Boyd Anderson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Seminole Ridge at 6:00 p.m.
