Flowing Wells waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 46-38 victory over the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks. That's more bragging rights for the Caballeros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Flowing Wells' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adonia Mendez, who posted nine points. Nevaeh Urenda was another key player, putting up six points along with ten assists and six boards.

Flowing Wells was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ironwood Ridge only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Ironwood Ridge had strong showings from Serenity Hampton, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, and Molly Walter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. What's more, Walter also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in January. Jaidyn Saucedo was another key player, posting five points along with five assists and five boards.

Flowing Wells pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Ironwood Ridge, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Flowing Wells didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-16 win against Baboquivari on the 27th. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Sunnyside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
