Victory Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ezekiel Academy Knights on Friday.
Ezekiel Academy can attribute much of their success to Addie Newell, who had eight aces. That's the most aces Newell has posted since back in September of 2024.
Victory Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Appalachian at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Ezekiel Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Tabernacle at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
