Bonney Lake couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 34-16 bruising from the Eastmont Wildcats on Saturday.
Eastmont can attribute much of their success to Bodie Yale, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown. Yale got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 86 yards. Jackson Kenyon made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Bonney Lake will venture away from home to square off against Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastmont, they will challenge Post Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
