Reeltown has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Beulah Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Reeltown was the victim of a rough 50-26 loss at the hands of Lanett. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Reeltown has suffered against Lanett since February 6, 2017.
Reeltown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chizyiah Riley, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and London O'Neal who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Riley has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Beulah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Randolph County 63-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Beulah has suffered since December 7, 2023.
Reeltown's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Beulah, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Reeltown strolled past Beulah in their previous meeting on Friday by a score of 55-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reeltown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
