The Clay County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Poca The Dots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Clay County and eight for the The Dots.
On Saturday, Clay County was beaten by the Bulldogs 66-39. Clay County has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Poca came up short against the Skyhawks on Thursday and fell 52-41.
Clay County has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Poca, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Clay County lost to the The Dots on the road by a decisive 48-31 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Clay County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
