Softball Recap: Weddington's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Weddington entered their tilt with Sun Valley on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spartans a 9-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Weddington's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Sun Valley, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Weddington is set to square off against their familiar foe Cuthbertson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 1.8, the Cavaliers 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Sun Valley will take on rival Marvin Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
