The Fulton had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Crosspoint Christian 69-38 on Friday. The Fulton has not had much luck with Crosspoint Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Crosspoint Christian was led to victory by Jace Stroup and James Murray. Stroup scored 21 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds, while Murray dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Murray has scored at least 25% of Crosspoint Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Carl Lewis, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds.
The Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Crosspoint Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
The Fulton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis at 4:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Crosspoint Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Westwood Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
