Last Tuesday, Mount Notre Dame humbled Mercy McAuley with a 66-22 victory. With Mount Notre Dame ahead 46-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Notre Dame to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Harrison, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. Sarah Hofmann was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Ursuline Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-27 loss to Fairfield on Thursday. Ursuline Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mount Notre Dame pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Ursuline Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Mount Notre Dame was able to grind out a solid victory over Ursuline Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 42-31. Does Mount Notre Dame have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ursuline Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
