It was a good run, but the Pueblo Central Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 64-46 to Harrison. Pueblo Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Harrison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Pueblo Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier Davis, who scored 13 points along with two blocks, and Ladamien Davis who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jaime Enciso gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Pueblo Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Harrison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Pueblo Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pueblo East at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Pueblo East will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Pueblo Central is ranked 79th). As for Harrison, they will head out on the road to square off against Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Widefield is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
