The Aquinas Fightin' Irish waltzed into their contest  Friday with four straight wins  but they left with five. They claimed a resounding  41-8 victory over Augusta Prep Day at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Aquinas also won the last time the pair played  back in January of 2023.
 Leading Aquinas to victory were  Emma Kate Noegel and  Elizabeth Elliot.  Noegel  scored nine points along with nine  rebounds and seven  steals, while  Elliot  scored nine points along with six  steals and five  rebounds. Those six  steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Anna Kate White, who  scored 11 points along with four  steals.
 Aquinas now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Augusta Prep Day, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that  loss, which was their 13th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Curtis Baptist at 5:30  p.m.  on January 6th. Curtis Baptist presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aquinas in Georgia (Curtis Baptist is ranked 123rd, while Aquinas is ranked 266th). As for Augusta Prep Day, they will be playing at home against Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:15  p.m.  on Friday. Mead Hall Episcopal School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the  squad is of course eager to reverse.
