Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence). They strolled past the Olathe East Hawks with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-43. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 64-48 victory the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Lawrence is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Olathe East, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lawrence Lions take on the Mill Valley Jaguars on Friday. As for Olathe East, they will take on Lawrence Free State on Friday.
