The Boone Grove Wolves had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 26-13 victory over Twin Lakes.
Boone Grove's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mark Rowland, who threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75.8% of his passes. Rowland is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chad Kackos, who gained 105 total yards and a touchdown.
Boone Grove's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points per game. As for Twin Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Boone Grove will face off against Hanover Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hanover Central's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven games. Twin Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
