There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to Woodland's senior Tyler Flanagan, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Woodland got a 41 - 8 win over R.A. Long last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Tyler Flanagan. Flanagan ran for 236 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Flanagan as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Clackamas and Lake Oswego, 2nd and 3rd in the power rankings, respectively. Clackamas claimed a 49 - 39 victory over Lake Oswego. 49 is shaping up to be Clackamas's lucky number as the team posted the same point total in its win over Beaverton the game before.
Game of Inches
Mountain View has been an offensive powerhouse for four straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. It won a game that couldn't get any closer, slipping by North Medford 43 - 42. Senior Colton Burkhardt deserves a lot of the credit as he threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns. The razor-thin margin made this game the most thrilling one of the week.
