If the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles were riding high off their 36-10 takedown of Thunderbird Adventist Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Arrowhead Christian Academy took a hard 45-29 fall against Ville de Marie Academy on Friday. Arrowhead Christian Academy has not had much luck with Ville de Marie Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Isabella Hernandez and Anna Bright certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hernandez scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals, while Bright scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Hernandez scored a full 55.2% of Arrowhead Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Ville de Marie Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will take on Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Thunderbird Adventist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. As for Ville de Marie Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tohono O'Odham at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
