While High Point Academy's victory against Liberty wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 3-2 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Julie Raines spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cheyenne Howard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

High Point Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

High Point Academy will face off against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
