Community School of Davidson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. They lost to Lincoln Charter at home by a decisive 69-53 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Community School of Davidson has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Austin Moran, who scored 17 points. He scored a full 32.1% of Community School of Davidson's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Darrell Williams, who scored six points along with three blocks.
Community School of Davidson struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Corvian Community at home against Langtree Charter on Tuesday as the squad secured a 76-37 victory. That 76-37 margin sets a new team best for Corvian Community this season.
Corvian Community found their leader in underclassman RJ Moore Jr., who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The contest was Moore Jr.'s fourth in a row with at least ten points. Malachi McCutcheon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Community School of Davidson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Corvian Community, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Community School of Davidson hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 67.3 points per game. It's a different story for Corvian Community, though, as they've been averaging only 65.2 points per game.
