Havana is 8-0 against Cuba/Spoon River Valley since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Havana Ducks will head out on the road to face off against the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Havana will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Havana proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 21) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Brimfield 43-41.
Meanwhile, Cuba/Spoon River Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 53-48 to Peoria Heights. Cuba/Spoon River Valley has not had much luck with Peoria Heights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Havana has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
Havana strolled past Cuba/Spoon River Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 52-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Havana since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
