Innovation Academy has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Innovation Academy will be strutting in after a victory while the Vikings will be coming in after a defeat.
On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Innovation Academy beat the 48-42.
Innovation Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derrick Twum out in front who scored 19 points. Twum is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. Bryce Kankam was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Nashoba Valley Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 74-67 to Minuteman Regional. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (58), Nashoba Valley Tech still had to take the loss.
Innovation Academy pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Everything came up roses for Innovation Academy against the Vikings in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 81-47 victory. Does Innovation Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
