Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Culver Academies). They had just enough and edged out the Jimtown Jimmies 69-66. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jimmies: they've now won six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Jimtown had strong showings from Will Spurgeon, who shot 59% from the field to rack up 25 points, and Dominic Fey, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 25 points. The contest was Spurgeon's third in a row with at least 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tra'Sean Baldwin, who posted four points.

Culver Academies' record now sits at 3-1. As for Jimtown, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Culver Academies will take on Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jimtown, they will square off against New Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Jimmies will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
