Chattahoochee claimed a resounding 68-32 victory over Berkmar on the road. Given Chattahoochee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Berkmar is ranked 320th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chattahoochee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Berninger, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Berninger's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklinne Dorr, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Chattahoochee's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Berkmar, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattahoochee is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Greater Atlanta Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Berkmar, they will head out on the road to face off against North Gwinnett at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
